Our Tea Party needs to identify willing, capable and conservative candidates for upcoming elections. We have joined with American Majority to identify and help train 10 new leaders who will advance conservative principles at the state and local level. See pledge below and give us some feedback in the comment section below.

We’ve joined American Majority’s effort to identify and train 10 new leaders at the state and local level. See the page entitled “Candidate Recruitment”.
Patriots, I am glad to see us join the American Majority and trust that it will be very beneficial as we begin to check out potential candidates for our local and state races.
We have got to select and support good, conservatives that will do as they promise when they are campaigning. And we have to be dilligent in following their votes after they are elected and let them know when they stray away from their promises and pledges to the people. It is up to us to hold their feet to the fire.
We need a candidate survey that would be used for initial vetting of candidates. There would be other conversation necessary to get to know a candidate, before we would endorse them. A survey, as used by other conservative organizations would be a good starting point. We are not a ‘single issue’ group – but we do approach this from a strictly ‘Constitutional’ paradigm. If anyone has a couple that we could combine or take as starting point, please let us know.
BTW – some would say it is not necessary to know someone’s stand on fiscal policy if they are running for Dogcatcher (only and example). But usually folks move on from Dogcatcher to another office so its best to get folks into the channel that are thorough going conservatives from the git-go.
Patriots,
We must not rest from our communications with our elected officials. It seems a lot of them tend to forget what we sent them to do in their respective offices. Cutting spending is not that hard. We must help the officials by searching for redundant and really useless programs of spending and making sure we detail them to the Congress or the Texas Legislature as the case may be. We must overcome the mindset of throwing money at every perceived problem. If Burleson thinks we must have mass transit, for example, then put it to a vote for the city to pay for it. We should never ask the federal government to fund projects here. It is not the job of the federal government at all. It as also not the job of the State of Texas to fund our projects. If our projects are so good and so essential, then the people of Burleson should be quite willing to provide the money.
I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Jeff Gill and I’m a lifelong conservative who thinks it’s time to bring common sense back into government. I’m running for BISD school board place 4 and would welcome your support. Please feel free to contact me with questions, if elected I intend to look at all the spending of the district. I also plan to bring common sense private business practices into the district and hold the administration accountable for their decisions.
Thank You
Jeff Gill
Jeff, I guess the reason people keep thinking you are a Tea Party candidate is because you keep trying to get their support. If you want their support you should be proud of it and not try to act like its a bad thing when you are in public….
